Prospect Update: Day Scores, Shesterkin Wins Again

Rangers defensive prospect Sean Day scored a goal in Windsor's 4-0 win over Saginaw Thursday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

The 2016 third round pick has 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points in 44 games this season split between the Spitfires and Mississauga. 

Goaltender Mackenzie Skapski turned aside 42 shots in a 3-2 Greenville loss to Orlando in the ECHL. The 45 shots total were the most Skapski has faced in his ECHL career. He's 8-8-0-1 with a 3.07 GAA and a .905 SV% this season with the Swamp Rabbits.

Lastly, goaltender Igor Shesterkin made 25 saves on Wednesday in SKA's 3-1 win over Salavat Yulaev in the Kontinental Hockey League. The 2014 fourth round pick has won his last four decisions and is 27-3-5 this season. His 1.58 GAA and .940 SV% are both third in the KHL, while his eight shutouts rank second.
