Washington Capitals Wives Visit Virginia Clinic for Valentine's Day

Washington Capitals' wives Brandi Holtby and Renee Murray (goalie coach Scott Murray's wife) visited with children undergoing treatment at Pediatric Specialist of Virginia on Tuesday, February 12th.

The women made Valentine's arts and crafts with the children that included picture frames, teddy bears and cute monsters. The kids enjoyed the opportunity to do something fun while waiting to see their doctor or receive treatment.
"The team often does charitable work and it is nice for us, as the wives of a coach or player, to also have the opportunity to try to make a difference in people's lives," said Renee. Two sisters had a great time singing songs and talking about princesses with the Caps wives while working on their crafts.

"We love to help out in any way we can," said Brandi. "Opportunities like this allow us the chance to give back to the community that supports the Caps."
The clinic is the same one that the Capitals players visited for Hockey Fights Cancer back in November.
