Do the Caps donate tickets to local nonprofit groups?

The Capitals do not donate tickets to local nonprofit groups. All information regarding Capitals donations can be found HERE.

Do the Washington Capitals sponsor groups, organizations or youth hockey teams?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate sponsorships.

How do I get a player's photograph and/or autograph?

Although player compliance is not guaranteed, the best way to try to obtain an autograph is to attend a Caps practice at Medstar Capitals Iceplex located atop the parking garage at Ballston Common Mall at 627 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA, 22203. Please CLICK HERE to check out the practice schedule and call the Capitals media information line at 202-266-2379 to verify practice times. Please note that the Washington Capitals do not accept items sent by mail to be autographed and are not responsible for anything sent to our offices or to the players.

How do I get a Washington Capitals player or coach to visit an event?

The Capitals receive a significant number of requests each year for our players and coaches and they maintain an extremely tight schedule throughout the season with practices and games. While we recognize the importance of celebrity appearances at charitable and community functions, we only ask our players and coaches to attend team-organized events.
How can I line up an appearance by Slapshot, the Washington Capitals mascot?

Please CLICK HERE to fill out the Slapshot request form. All appearances are subject to availability. Requests must be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact slapshot@washcaps.com.

How do I get in touch with my favorite player?

How do I find out about Washington Capitals player appearances and or autograph sessions?

By checking the Washington Capitals website on a continual basis, you will find out information regarding player appearances and autograph sessions. We also recommend that you CLICK HERE to sign up to receive our free email newsletter, Ice Chips.

How do I purchase Washington Capitals media guides and/or yearbooks?

The Washington Capitals media guide can be downloaded free of charge at WashingtonCaps.com or CapitalsToday.com. 

How can I get a message on the matrix board during a game?

For Washington Capitals games, fans can place written announcements on the main center hung video board for a minimum donation of $25 to Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation. Announcements run once during first intermission after Mites On Ice. Message requests must be received by no later than the close of business on the day before the game. For weekend and Monday games, message requests must be received the Friday before the game by 12 p.m. Please note that the Washington Capitals reserve the right to accept or deny any announcement dependent on its content. CLICK HERE to submit an announcement application form.
