T.J. Oshie has a future as a general manager if he keeps making trades as good as the one he pulled off on Monday.
The Washington Capitals forward dealt was hit with a trade offer from a young fan via sign during warmups before a 4-3 shootout win against the Anaheim Ducks: A doughnut for a puck, straight up.
Oshie accepted. And why not? A hard, one-color, not delicious rubber disc for a soft, mutil-colored delectible-looking plush doughnut? And that is before taking into account his daughter's love of giving out doughnuts as a reward for scoring goals or his stint as a Dunkin' Donuts spokesperson . Some deals are just no-brainers.
