The Dallas Stars defeated the Los Angeles Kings 6-3 on Friday in the first NHL game at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Julius Honka, Johnny Oduya and Radek Faksa scored in the second period to give Dallas a 4-2 lead. Patrik Nemeth scored twice, and Jason Spezza had an empty-net goal for the Stars. Michael Mersch, Dustin Brown and Nic Dowd scored for Los Angeles, which plays the Colorado Avalanche here on Saturday. T-Mobile Arena will be the home of Las Vegas when it begins play next season.
