Stay with the play.
It is a good philosophy while trying to score a goal, clear a zone or call a penalty.

Referee Brad Meier clearly subscribes to that theory, as he showed during the Montreal Canadies vs. Colorado Avalanche game on Tuesday night.
Meier called a delayed penalty on Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen for tripping. Play continued because the player he tripped up, Canadiens forward Paul Byron, still had control of the puck. Byron went sliding into Meier, who tumbled to the ice but kept his arm raised to signal the infraction.
Meier had a big grin on his face after being helped up. He promptly skated to center ice to call the penalty and got right back to work.
