Winnipeg leads best-of-7 series 1-0
WINNIPEG --The Winnipeg Jets will try to take a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference First Round when they host the Minnesota Wild at Bell MTS Place on Friday.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, teams that win the first two games of a Stanley Cup Playoff series at home go on to win 88.7 percent of the time (236-30).

The Jets defeated the Wild 3-2 in Game 1 on Wednesday, the first victory in a playoff game in franchise history. Seven Winnipeg players had one point.
Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck will start for the Jets after making 18 saves in the opener. Devan Dubnyk, who made 37 saves on Wednesday, will start for Minnesota.
Here are 5 keys for Game 2:

1. Perreault's status

Jets forward Mathieu Perreault will be a game-time decision.
Perreault left Game 1 in the second period with an upper-body injury and did not return. If Perreault cannot play, Jack Roslovic is expected to take his place.
"[Roslovic] fills in pretty good for Perreault," Jets forward Bryan Little said. "He's really fast. He's skilled. The transition wouldn't be too bad. It's pretty easy playing with him. He's got a lot of energy. He's really young. He gets on the puck and he has the hands to be good around the net."
Roslovic, 21, had 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 31 games for Winnipeg this season.

2. Wild need top line to step up

If Minnesota hopes to even the series,
it will need better play from its top line
of Eric Staal, Jason Zucker and Nino Niederreiter.
"They have to become more of a factor," coach Bruce Boudreau said. "They were only involved in two potential scoring chances. Your most offensive line has got to be as good as their best offensive line. There's room for improvement."

3. Muscle up

Jets forward Patrik Laine said he was surprised how physical Game 1 was. Game 2 likely will feature more of the same.
"The physicality is great," Staal said. "That's playoff hockey. It's fun and fun to watch and fun to play. I'm sure as you go, your body can only take so much. That's the reality of it. We'll be ready for it."

4. Home sweet home

The Jets had an NHL-best 32-7-2 record at Bell MTS Place during the regular season and continued their winning trend at home in the opener.
"I think you want to take advantage of playing at home," Little said. "If they do win and it's tied 1-1 going to Minnesota, that's not going to shake us. From what we've gone through this year that's something we'd be prepared for. But the ideal would be winning [Game 2]."

5. Digging deep

The Jets said they're prepared to deal with any injuries that come their way in the playoffs.
Winnipeg has dealt with key players being out during the regular season, including first-line center Mark Scheifele, who missed 16 games with an upper-body injury, and first-pair defenseman Jacob Trouba, who was limited to 55 games because of multiple injuries.
Forward Matt Hendricks (lower body) and defensemen Dmitry Kulikov (upper body) and Toby Enstrom (lower body) are sidelined.
"We've relied on our depth all year," forward Blake Wheeler said. "It's been the strength of our team and we feel very fortunate, with the amount of bodies that we have that can fill in and be effective."
