Foligno suspended two games for kneeing

NEW YORK - Minnesota Wild forward Marcus Foligno has been suspended for two games, without pay, for kneeing Winnipeg Jets forward Adam Lowry during NHL Game No. 531 in Winnipeg on Tuesday, Feb. 8, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 11:06 of the third period. Foligno was assessed a minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Foligno will forfeit $31,000.00. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
