Steady performer:
Jonathan Drouin, Tampa Bay Lightning ($4,800)
Drouin has 10 points, one block and 28 SOG in 10 games (3.8 DraftKings points per contest) since being recalled by the Lightning late in the regular season, and has at least a point in each of the three playoff games against the Islanders. He has one goal, three assists and nine SOG in the series and has at least 3.0 DraftKings points in five of his eight postseason games. He assisted on the game-tying goal late in the third period of Game 3, and remains a dangerous distributor with the man-advantage.
Injury watch:
Ryan Pulock, New York Islanders ($2,500)
The 21-year-old defenseman broke out for three points (two on the power play) in four games in the Eastern Conference First Round against the Florida Panthers. He sustained an upper-body injury in Game 4 of that series and has missed the Islanders' past five games, but skated Friday and could return for Game 4 against the Lightning. If he does, Pulock would bring sneaky power-play exposure considering he's priced at the DraftKings minimum.
Value pick:
Valtteri Filppula, Tampa Bay Lightning ($3,700)
Filppula has at least a point in each of the three games against the Islanders, totaling one goal, three assists and six SOG in the series. He has five points in as many games against the Islanders (including regular season). His price, relatively unaltered and 22nd among centers, makes him an attractive bargain option in DFS. He plays on the second line with Drouin and Alex Killorn and on the Lightning's second power-play unit. With Steven Stamkos sidelined, Filppula's usage and production have spiked.
Better goalie option:
Thomas Greiss, New York Islanders ($8,300)
The Islanders have allowed the most shots per game (38.1) League-wide this postseason, and Greiss has benefited from such a high volume in terms of DraftKings value. He's tied for fourth in price among projected goalies for Friday/Saturday contests, but is averaging 6.0 DraftKings points per game in the playoffs -- even better than his season average (5.2). Even when he allowed five goals in Game 3, Greiss came away with 36 saves and 2.2 DraftKings points in the loss.
