The Vegas Golden Knights can move past the first round for the second consecutive season with a win against the San Jose Sharks in Game 6 of the Western Conference First Round at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (7 p.m. ET; NBCSN, SN, SN360, TVAS, ATTSN-RN, NBCSCA).
Vegas, which lost to Washington in the Stanley Cup Final last season, would become the third team in NHL history to advance past the first round of the playoffs in each of its first two seasons, joining the New York Rangers (1926-27 and 1927-28) and the Blues (1967-68 and 1968-69).
When trailing a best-of-7 series 3-2, the Bruins have won to force Game 7 10 times and have goine on to win the series on three of those occasions. In the same scenario, the Sharks have extended a series to a Game 7 twice, winning once.
