Oleksiak swim

From the sounds of it, one of the new members of the Seattle Kraken wants to be more like Canada Olympic swimmer Penny Oleksiak when he grows up.

And who could blame Jamie Oleksiak, whose younger sister just became Canada's most decorated Olympian with her three-medal performance at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
"I've been doing a little swim training myself, so I might have to race Penny," he told TSN. "I'm going to need a long, long head start before she gets going."
The 21-year-old won bronze as part of the medley relay, bronze in the 200 freestyle, and silver with the freestyle relay to bring her career total to seven medals.
Jamie, a 28-year-old defenseman who was selected by the Kraken from the Dallas Stars in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft, added that he hopes the family can get together at their cottage soon, and that he started swimming to add a challenge to his workouts.
"I think being an athlete, you kind of have to get out of your comfort zone," he said. "Things can get kind of monotonous; we do the same training over and over again, so I think doing swimming is something that's a little bit different. [You] kind of use different muscles that you're not used to developing. I wouldn't say I'm the best swimmer ever, but like I said, it's something I enjoy working at."
