forbidden city MW

After a day with a more relaxed itinerary on Tuesday, Wednesday was action packed with some sightseeing and spending time with local kids.

We started off the day with a tour of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City houses the Imperial Palace which former Chinese emperors lived from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty.
Today however, it is home to almost 80,000 tourists a day! We had a private tour guide take us around the huge compound which was filled to the brim with people.

It was pretty mind blowing being in a public place with Ovi without being asked for one single autograph or photo from a fan.
After the Forbidden City, we drove out to Bloomage Live, which is a compound modeled after LA Live. It has one of the rinks where the 2022 Winter Olympics hockey will be played as well as numerous shops and restaurants to keep people busy.
After the tour of the compound, Ovi was greeted by 60 local kids shouting his name "Ovi! Ovi! Ovi!". It's really fun to see how much these kids appreciate him being here.
Inside one of the facilities, a ball hockey exhibition took place. Ovi stopped at each station with kids showing them breakaways, technical skills and even showing off his hardest shot.

The kids were definitely in awe of him up close and personal and he enjoyed himself as well. After the ball hockey was over, Ovi signed almost 100 autographs.
Tomorrow is the last day of the #Gr8inChina tour and of course we're capping it off by visiting the Great Wall.
