What to Watch

Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock is looking for better even strength play and a trip to B.C. may serve the team well to that end. They were a +7 in even-strength goal differential against the Canucks last season. Paul Stastny has grabbed the spotlight right out of the gate, posting six points through the first three games for his best regular season start since 2007-08 (8 pts in first 3 games). Stastny has fared very well against the Canucks in his career, accumulating 38 points (9 goals, 29 assists) in 46 career games.

Milestones

If Jake Allen starts and can continue the Blues' shutout streak, he will tie Brent Johnson (12) for fifth on the team's all-time shutouts list. We are continuing to monitor Alexander Steen, who still sits one goal shy of Doug Gilmour (149) for 13th in Blues history. Lastly, if Alex Pietrangelo can go back-to-back games with the game-winner, he'll jump Chris Pronger (12) for sole possession of second in franchise history among defensemen.
