1. Wrap it up

The Sens close out their 4-game road trip tonight and are looking to move on from a lackluster finish on Saturday night where they dropped a 2-1 decision to the Coyotes.
"I think the disappointing part was the third period," said head coach Guy Boucher. "We sabotaged ourselves, plain and simple."
A late second period goal held up as the winner for Arizona as the Sens were only able to muster 4 shots in the final frame.
"You are going to lack some energy in the third period of a back-to-back," the coach continued. "When you don't have as much energy you have to be smarter and we were not."

2. Familiar face

For the first time since losing him in the Expansion Draft, the Sens will line-up across from former teammate Marc Methot. Over the course of 5 seasons, Methot appeared in 304 regular season games for the Senators compiling a nice 69 points (14G, 55A) as well as skating in 34 post-season games with Ottawa.
Methot, who has battled some injuries this season in Dallas, still keeps in touch with many of his former teammates but those relationships will be put on pause tonight.
"You're playing against guys you know very well," Methot
told Mark Stepneski of dallasstars.com
. "I play a hard game. It's not like I'm going out there and handling the puck and not hitting guys. I've got to do my job. Again, no friends when I am on the ice."

3. Eight straight

Since returning from injury on February 10th, Mark Stone has gone right back to racking up points and is currently in the midst of an 8-game point streak where he's ammassed 13 over that span. He's been skating alongside Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Bobby Ryan and the trio have really clicked, compiling 10 points in their last 3 games.
With an assist on Saturday night, Stone hit the 60 point mark for the third time in the last 4 years and currently leads the Senators in goals (20) and points (60).

4. Previous meeting

It's been almost a year since these teams last squared off when the Sens left Dallas with a 5-2 win over the Stars on March 8th, 2017. Fredrik Claesson scored his first NHL goal in that contest while Craig Anderson picked up a historic win, tying Patrick Lalime for the most in Senators history (146).
