Eddie Olczyk returned to the broadcast booth, however briefly, on Saturday night. The veteran NHL player and current Chicago Blackhawks broadcaster is battlling colon cancer.

He joined his TV partner, Pat Foley, for a quick update on his condition and to give out countless thanks to everyone who has supported him during his fight.

Olczyk thanked his family, doctors, the Blackhawks organization and fans who have reached out.
The veteran of 16 NHL seasons says he has received an incredible outpouring of support, especially from Foley.
Foley,
who recently shouted out Olczyk while at Wrigley Field
, says that fans have now shifted their questions toward him. The first question isn't about how the Blackhawks are playing, but rather they ask how Olczyk is feeling.
It was more than enough to have the pair feeling a little emotional. Hoepfully the pair will be back together full time sooner rather than later.
