CLINTON, N.Y. -- Artemi Panarin had three points for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 4-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres at Kraft Hockeyville USA on Tuesday.

"I think [we] looked really good today and there was no sign of fatigue," Columbus goalie Joonas Korpisalo said. "They had a good battle today."
Panarin had two assists, and his power-play goal at 6:31 of the third period gave the Blue Jackets a 3-2 lead.

Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin, the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, scored his first point of the preseason when he got the secondary assist on Sam Reinhart's power-play goal at 14:28 of the second period that gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead.
"I think we are getting our chances, which is good," Sabres center Jack Eichel said. "There's definitely some things we want to clean up. It's important over the next week we just keep working in practice."

Adam Clendening scored 1:07 later on an assist from Panarin to tie it 2-2.
Anthony Duclair had a goal and an assist for the Blue Jackets. He tied the game at 1-1 with a power-play goal at 12:36 of the second.
"I think as a team, we skated a lot better," Duclair said. "Found our legs, found our chemistry as well, so it was nice to see."
Casey Nelson gave the Sabres a 1-0 lead at 1:13 of the second period.
Kevin Stenlund made it 4-2 at 8:55 of the third period with the third power-play goal of the game for Columbus. Panarin had an assist.

Korpisalo made 31 saves for Columbus. Scott Wedgewood made 22 for Buffalo.
Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones left in the second period with a lower-body injury.
"He gets checked tomorrow," Columbus coach John Tortorella said. "We'll have more information tomorrow."
More than 1,700 people were on hand at Clinton Arena, which received $150,000 in upgrades after earning the highest number of votes to win Kraft Hockeyville USA 2018.
