At 8:16 of the third period in the Hurricanes/Golden Knights game, the Situation Room initiated a video review to further examine if Justin Williams batted the puck into the Vegas net with his hand. Video review supported the Referees call on the ice that Williams batted the puck into the Vegas net with his hand. According to Rule 67.6 "a goal cannot be scored by an attacking player who bats or directs the puck with his hand into the net."
