The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Eric Robinson from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Robinson, 24, has skated in 14 games with the Blue Jackets since making his NHL debut at the end of the 2017-18 campaign, including 13 contests in 2018-19. He led Monsters rookies in assists and ranked second in goals (tied) and points with 12-12-24 in 45 contests in 2018-19. The Bellmawr, New Jersey native played four years at Princeton University from 2014-18, finishing with 39-28-67 and 74 penalty minutes in 128 appearances.
Columbus, 2-3-1 in preseason play, returns to action on Sunday when it hosts the St. Louis Blues. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on BlueJackets.com, the FOX Sports Go App and Sports Radio 97.1 The Fan.
The Blue Jackets open their 19th regular season vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday, October 4. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
