Colin Wilson portrait pose 2017-18 season

LOS ANGELES--Colin Wilson is expected to return to the Colorado Avalanche's lineup for tonight's game at the Los Angeles Kings.
Wilson has missed the past five contests after suffering a lower-body injury in the club's last meeting against the Kings on March 22 in Denver. He was a full participant in Colorado's optional morning skate at Staples Center, as he traded his red, non-contact sweater for a regular burgundy-colored practice jersey.
Head coach Jared Bednar said that Wilson will play if he feels good following his pre-game skate. He will take the spot of Nail Yakupov on the team's fourth line with J.T. Compher and Gabriel Bourque.

Other than the addition of Wilson, the Avalanche will use the same lineup it iced in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss at the Anaheim Ducks.
Former Kings goaltender Jonathan Bernier will make his 35th appearance of the season and play in his third straight game for the Avalanche as the team plays the latter half of its 11th and final back-to-back set of the season.
Bernier made 38 saves versus the Ducks and will start on consecutive nights for the third time this season. He also played two games in two days on Nov. 24-25 and Jan. 22-23.
Vladislav Kamenev, Anton Lindholm, Duncan Siemens, Dominic Toninato and Yakupov will be Colorado's healthy scratches.
Defenseman Mark Barberio skated once again skated a red, non-contact jersey, the sixth straight day that he's been on the ice. Barberio has been out since Jan. 25 with an upper-body injury.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup if Wilson plays. All forward combinations and defensive pairings are subject to change.
