Larsson suspended two games for illegal check to head

NEW YORK --Arizona Coyotes forward Johan Larsson has been suspended for two games, without pay, for an illegal check to the head of St. Louis Blues forward Zach Sanford during NHL Game No. 684 in Arizona on Friday, Feb. 12, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 5:11 of the third period. Larsson received a minor penalty for illegal check to the head.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Larsson will forfeit $24,137.94. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
