The Lightning host the Winnipeg Jets for the only time during the 2016-17 season on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena. The Jets used to be in the Southeast division with the Lightning, but since realignment, the teams only face each other twice a year.

TUESDAY'S MATCHUP

The Lightning and the Jets are meeting for the first time this season...Tampa Bay swept Winnipeg last season, winning both games in overtime/a shootout...In their last meeting Feb. 18, 2016, the Lightning built a 3-0 lead but trailed 5-4 late before Nikita Kucherov leveled the score at 15:04 of the third period and Steven Stamkos eventually won it in a shootout on the Bolts' fifth attempt...Tampa Bay downed the Jets in Winnipeg 4-3 on Oct. 23 last season, Ondrej Palat netting the game-winner 36 seconds into the extra session...The Lightning have won four of their last five over Winnipeg and are 44-28-8 with four ties all-time against the Jets...The Bolts are 10-2-2 in their last 14 home games vs. Winnipeg and are 27-10-4 with one tie all-time at home against the Jets.
