LOS ANGELES -The Los Angeles Kings will host the Tampa Bay Lightning at STAPLES Center on Monday at 1 p.m. and as part of the holiday game on Martin Luther Jr. Day former NHL player Willie O'Ree will take part in a pregame event (details below) and he will drop the pre-game ceremonial puck.
O'Ree - the first black player in National Hockey League history - will be a featured guest of the Kings on Monday as the club hosts a special screening of the movie Soul on Ice at Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE for 500 kids from the local YMCA beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Daryl Evans is scheduled to host the event which also features a post-movie q-and-a with O'Ree and movie creator Damon Kwame Mason.
The Kings continue their seven-game homestand tomorrow, Saturday, when the club hosts the Winnipeg Jets at 7 p.m. Coverage on FOX Sports West and KABC Radio begins at 6:30 p.m. Hockey Hall of Famer Jari Kurri will be honored pre-game as part of the club's Legends Night series presented by McDonald's.
