The Bridgeport Sound Tigers pocketed three points in a trio of road games last week as the regular season dwindles down to its final nine games. Bridgeport continues to sit fifth in the Atlantic Division standings, five points behind the Providence Bruins and Hershey Bears for the final playoff spot.

The Sound Tigers kicked off a season-long, six-game road trip on the right foot Wednesday by scoring three unanswered goals and earning a 3-1 win over the Albany Devils in their last trip to Times Union Center. Kellen Jones added his fifth tally of the season as Bridgeport nearly fought back from a three-goal deficit in the final frame, but it wasn't enough as the Wolf Pack snapped a nine-game losing streak. Carter Verhaeghe chipped in two assists for the Sound Tigers.
Bridgeport capped the weekend on Sunday by earning a hard-fought point in Lehigh Valley, but the club suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Phantoms at the PPL Center. Rowe, Tim Wallace and Ross Johnston each scored as Bridgeport built a two-goal lead after the second period, but Lehigh Valley stormed back with three unanswered goals, including Andy Miele's overtime winner with less than 35 seconds left in the extra frame.
