John Tavares scored his 9th career overtime goal as the Isles rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2 before a crowd of 8,707 at PNC Arena.
Joshua Ho-Sang had a goal and an assist for the second straight night as the Isles erased a 2-0 deficit to win for the first time in 12 games this season that they have allowed the first two goals.
With the win, the Isles move back into the 2nd Wild Card spot; they are tied with Tampa Bay in terms of points. Both teams have 13 games to play and the Isles have two more regulation/overtime wins. Toronto fell one point behind the Isles tonight; the Leafs hold a game in hand.
