"The pace is high," Parise said. "You can tell that these guys have played together and have had success together for a while. They all know what they're doing. You try to - as seamlessly as you can - get on board and figure things out as quick as possible. There's a lot of intensity from the group. From a new guy, you can see why the team has done so wel the past couple of years."
Taking into account the team's shortened offseason - as a result of a semfinals-berth for the second-consecutive season - the group is approaching this year's training camp with the same business-like mentality; focusing on one task at a time in preparation for preseason and eventually, their 2021-22 season opener.
"We have a little bit longer camp than we did the last couple [of seasons]," Scott Mayfield said. "We're going to use the preseason games, use everyday on the ice, and just make sure we're doing what we need to do to be ready for the first game."
