PS 90, Richmond Hill NY - Thursday, April 19 2018
Third grade students at PS 90 continued with their Islanders Floorball unit today. Practicing their ball control skills, students participated in the "Dribble Around" game focusing on not running into other players, keeping control of their ball, and trapping it every time the whistle was blown. "Challenge your control," said physical education teacher Mr. Gianotti as he tested the students to move around faster. Next, students practiced their forehand and backhand passes, receiving a pass, and moving after passing through a number of drills. The class wrapped with a fun obstacle course including zip-zap dribbles, trapping the ball in a hula hoop, changing direction with the ball, and partner passing. PS 90 students are excited to learn more floorball in their classes to come!
