Cody Glass played in 39 games for the Vegas Golden Knights before the NHL's pause. Though he battled some injuries during his rookie season, Glass showed some of the reasons the Golden Knights made him their first draft selection in franchise history with 12 points (5G, 7A).

Two plays from his rookie campaign stand out because of the creativity, skill and precision required to make them. Shane Hnidy examines Glass' knack for the no-look pass.

NSH@VGK: Stone buries Glass' quick feed for PPG

VGK@NYR: Pacioretty buries one-timer for PPG

Analysis from VGK Color Analyst Shane Hnidy
Cody Glass was the first pick by Vegas in the amateur draft and you can see why with his hockey IQ, his passing ability and his vision. He's one of those young players who's like a sponge learning the game. He sees the ice extremely well, that's one of his great talents and skills that he has. Both of these plays demonstrate that.

The first one against Nashville, he's playing on the power play in front of the net. He pops off to the goal line a couple of times. He sells shot and then makes this play quickly. He goes right to Stone at the hashmarks. Glass has the vision to look before he even gets into position and he knows where his pass is going. He uses his peripheral vision to make a great pass to Stone for a beautiful power-play goal.

The second goal here is one of my favorite plays of the whole year. It's one that really made Glass stand out and showed that this rookie was really going to be something special. It's on the power play again as he takes that net-front position. It's his vision that helps him make this no-look pass. His eyes are looking as he takes the pass off the half wall from Stone.

He freezes Jacob Trouba and Brady Skjei- the top defense pair for the New York Rangers. As he takes the feed, he moves to the goal line and then he rolls out toward the corner. As he rolls out, he's looking at Stone, but he knows where Pacioretty is. He makes a perfect tape-to-tape pass and then a great release by Pacioretty for a beautiful power-play goal.

The pass went right through the crease and it was just a tremendous play by a talented young player that Golden Knights fans should be excited about.
