VEGAS (March 24, 2020) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, March 24, that the Vegas Golden Knights American Hockey League affiliate based in Henderson, Nevada has signed free agent defenseman Jake McLaughlin to an AHL contract for the 2020-21 season.
McLaughlin recently finished his senior year with UMass, tallying 14 points (3 G, 11 A) to go with 27 penalty minutes in 34 games. During his NCAA career, he recorded 42 points (10 G, 32A) to go with 81 penalty minutes in 138 games from 2016-20.

The Hinsdale, Illinois native helped lead the Minutemen to an NCAA national championship appearance and a Hockey East regular-season title during the 2018-19 season. Prior to his time in the NCAA, McLaughlin spent two seasons in the USHL, appearing for the Sioux City Musketeers and the Fargo Force from 2014-16.
