Vegas Golden Knights Announce Roster Transactions

Golden Knights assign forwards Patrick Brown and Gage Quinney to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves

VEGAS (February 23, 2020) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, February 23, the following roster transactions: the team has assigned forwards Patrick Brown and Gage Quinney to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves.

Brown became the ninth player in Vegas Golden Knights history to score a goal in his debut with the team after scoring his second career NHL goal at Anaheim on February 23. He has appeared in 54 games for the Wolves this season and has posted 19 points (6 G, 13 A) to go with 26 penalty minutes. He has played in 28 regular-season NHL games, all with the Carolina Hurricanes, and has posted two points (1 G, 1 A) to go with eight penalty minutes. Last season with Carolina, he also appeared in eight Stanley Cup playoff games. During the 2018-19 season, the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan helped the AHL's Charlotte Checkers capture the 2019 Calder Cup. He finished with 10 points (5 G, 5 A) to go with 18 penalty minutes in 16 Calder Cup playoff games after posting 35 points (19 G, 16 A) to go with 32 penalty minutes in 70 regular-season games. Brown signed a two-year contract with the Golden Knights on July 1, 2019.

Quinney became the first player born in the state of Nevada to appear in an NHL game after playing against Florida on February 22. He recorded his first NHL point, an assist, at Anaheim on February 23. The Las Vegas native has appeared in 42 games for the Wolves this season and has posted 32 points (14 G, 18 A) to go with eight penalty minutes. Last season with Chicago, Quinney recorded 43 points (19 G, 24 A) to go with 17 penalty minutes in 68 games. He helped lead the Wolves to a Calder Cup Final appearance after finishing with nine points (4 G, 5 A) in 18 Calder Cup playoff games. Quinney's first stint in professional hockey came with the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers during the 2016-17 season. He recorded 44 points (18 G, 26 A) to go with 10 penalty minutes in 45 games. He spent the 2017-18 season with the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and finished with 33 points (14 G, 19 A) with 18 penalty minutes in 57 games. Quinney signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Golden Knights on June 1, 2018.

- Helped lead the Kelowna Rockets to a WHL championship and a Memorial Cup Final appearance during the 2014-15 season and tallied five points (4 G, 1 A) in five Memorial Cup games
