Brandon Saad got the scoring started for St. Louis in the first frame. Reilly Smith then tied things at 1-1 with a shorthanded goal less than one minute later. In the second period, Phil Kessel gave Vegas the lead with a wrist shot from the top of the circle that beat Jordan Binnington. Ivan Barbashev tied things up for St. Louis before Ryan O'Reilly's goal snagged the lead for the Blues less than a minute later. The visitors held off Vegas' comeback bid and skated away with a 3-2 win.
