HOW IT WENT DOWN
Amadio opened the scoring for Vegas five minutes into the opening period. Four minutes later, Yanni Gourde tied the game at 1-1. In the middle frame, Michael Amadio scored his second of the night to put the Golden Knights ahead, 2-1. Reilly Smith found the back of the net with six minutes remaining in the period, extending Vegas' lead to 3-1. In the third period, Jonathan Marchessault scored a power-play goal to make it 4-1. The Golden Knights locked down defensively and skated to the 4-1 win.
