HOW IT WENT DOWN
Chandler Stephenson got things going for Vegas just over five minutes into the first with a power-play goal. Less than three minutes later, Nicolas Roy made it 2-0 for the Golden Knights. Jonathan Marchessault brought the lead to 3-0 with a backhander with less than five minutes left in the frame. With two minutes remaining in the period, Arizona's Travis Boyd cut the lead to 3-1. After a scoreless second period, Jack Eichel found the back of the net on the power play when a puck deflected off his skate, making it 4-1. Halfway through the final period, Alex Pietrangelo potted a one-timer, solidifying the 5-1 victory.
