After a scoreless 40 minutes, Winnipeg's Adam Lowry scored the first goal of the game less than 30 seconds into the third. Mark Stone answered back by batting the puck in to tie it at 1-1 just before the midway point of the period. Then, with seven seconds left in overtime, Eichel skated around the ice to the crease to beat Connor Hellebuyck for the winner.
