USA Hockey announced today their list of players invited to the 2021 World Junior camp with Flyers prospects, defenseman Cam York (the club's 14th overall pick), and winger Bobby Brink (the second round selected at 34th overall) in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, among the players chosen.

Both York and Brink appeared for the United States in last year's tournament, suiting up for USA's 2020 U.S. National Junior Team.

York is currently in his sophomore season at the University of Michigan and has posted four points (1g-3a) in six games, which is tied for the lead among all Big-10 defensemen.

Last season as a rookie, York posted 16 points (5g-11a) in 30 games which led all Big-10 defensemen and T-9th in the NCAA ranks. He also had a +9 rating and had seven of his 16 points on the team's power play (2ppg-5ppa).

As for Brink, he also enters his sophomore campaign at the University of Denver, however the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) has not played games due to COVID-19. All teams from the conference will be playing in a "pod" format in Omaha, Nebraska. They are scheduled for their first game on Dec. 2.

Last season as a freshman, Brink posted 11 goals and 24 points in 28 games for the Pioneers, which ranked second among all rookies in the NCHC.

The annual IIHF tournament will be held from December 25-January 5 in Edmonton, Alberta in a bubble format for all participating countries.

A pair of Flyers prospects are also battling for positions on Team Canada - forward Tyson Foerster (the Flyers' 2020 Draft pick at 23rd overall), and defenseman and Mason Millman (the Flyers fourth round pick at 103rd overall) in 2019.

The Flyers have had at least four prospects compete in the tournament in the last seven years and at least one prospect has won a medal in each of the last eight years.
