Ty Murchison did not return for the start of the second period after taking a hit from Nikita Zadorov in the opening frame. He later returned but took another hit; this one from Will Borgen.
Pastrnak was unable to finish a point blank shot.

3RD PERIOD
Nick Seeler blocked a scoring chance early in the period. Kolosov made a stop on Pastrnak. JJ Peterka later sent a drive off the crossbar.
At the other end, Cole Knuble exited the bench and rang a one-timed shot off the crossbar from the high slot.
Pastrnak drew a cross-checking penalty on Murchison. The Flyers failed a clearing opportunity. From between the hash marks, Geekie re-directed a Pastrnak feed through the five-hole for a power play goal and 2-1 lead for Boston at 5:19. Hampus Lindholm earned the secondary assist.
Eyssimont and Nolan Foote went off for coincidental unsportsmanlike conduct minors.
Boston opened a two-goal lead at 7:43. The Flyers lost a defensive zone draw cleanly. The point shot created a rebound in front that Halonen deposited in the net. The assist went to Brunet;
Lindholm got open in the slot to receive a centering pass from Zadorov and fire a shot past Kolosov at 14:48. The assists went to Zadorov and Pavel Zacha.
A bad defensive zone turnover led to Eyssimont's second goal of the game at 18:47. Dans Locmelis had the assist.

Postgame RAV4 (RAV4 Things Revisited)
1. Different personnel. The Flyers had numerous players in Tuesday's lineup who also played on Monday in Hershey. The list included forwards Cole Knuble, Jett Luchanko, Alex Bump, Matthew Gard, Jack Studnicka, Carl Grundstrom and Zack Aston-Reese. Defensemen who played both games included Oliver Bonk, David Jiricek, Ty Murchison, and Hunter McDonald.
On the other hand, multiple players appeared for the first time in Tuesday's match in Boston. The ranks included Owen Tippett, Noah Cates, Nick Seeler, Jacob Gaucher, Spencer Gill, and Danila Klimovich.
2, Vladar and Kolosov. The Flyers intended to go with the same work split they used on Monday in Hershey. The NHL-level goaltender, Dan Vladar in this case, was slated to play the first and second periods. The AHL netminder, Aleksai Kolosov, was scheduled to go the rest of the way. The Vladar injury forced the Flyers to change the plan.
Vladar stopped six of seven shots in 13:31. Kolosov stopped 14 of 18 shots over the rest of the game. He was strong until Boston solved him in the third period, and then was beaten repeatedly on good scoring chances.
3. Take away the dangerous areas. The Flyers came into Tuesday's game aiming to do a better job taking away the middle of the ice and the weak side of the defensive zone that they did over the latter 30 minutes of Monday's match. On this night, the Flyers improved for two periods but seemed to make tired mistakes in the final 20 minutes.
4. Special teams. The Flyers went 0-for-1 on the power play. They were 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
