As the season of giving gets into full swing, Flyers Charities announced today their plans to award a $25,000 grant to one local nonprofit organization working to support patients and families battling cancer. Applications are now being accepted from registered 501c3 programs who share in Flyers Charities' mission of bettering the lives of families living with cancer.

"We are pleased to announce this new opportunity from Flyers Charities as we conclude Hockey Fights Cancer month across the NHL," said Valerie Camillo, President of Business Operations, Comcast Spectacor. "This grant will help us continue in our efforts to improve the lives of patients and families living with the effects of cancer, and we look forward to honoring the work of our selected organization as we build a long-lasting and impactful partnership."

The selected nonprofit will be announced later in 2021 and will work side-by-side with Flyers Charities to develop and implement cancer-related programs in the Philadelphia area.
