1. WHERE WE STAND
At 50 points, the Flyers sit in the second and final wild card position with 44 games played, while at 49 points the Bruins are in second place in the Atlantic Division with 45 games played… The Bruins play their first game at home since Jan. 5, returning home from a seven-day, four-game road trip where they went 2-1-1… The Flyers are looking to snap a seven-game winless skid on the road, going 0-5-2, with their last win coming against the Avalanche on Dec. 14 at Colorado.
2. WEEKEND WARRIORS
The Flyers head into the weekend playing their 11th set of back-to-backs this year and second of three straight back-to-back weekends after going 1-0-1 on Jan. 7-8… The Flyers own a 7-2-1 record in the first of games on back to backs and are 6-2-2 on the back end… This is also the third set of back-to-backs the Flyers have played both games on the road - in each of the first two sets they have won the first game and dropped the second game.

This is the second of three meetings and first in Boston this year - although the two teams played twice in the preseason with both of those games going past regulation and the Flyers dropping both contests… In the first meeting, the Flyers earned a 3-2 shootout win despite being out-shot by the B's, 47-21… Including this year's preseason games, the Flyers and Bruins have had seven straight games decided by one goal, including five past regulation play.

FLYERS (RW: #10 - Brayden Schenn)
Schenn currently has a four-game point streak and three-game goal-scoring streak, with four points (3g-1a)… He is fourth on the team in scoring with 29 points (14g-15a) in 41 games… Schenn's 10 power-play goals leads all players in the NHL… Other than the Flyers, the Bruins are one of two teams in the NHL (Edmonton) that Schenn has not scored a goal against in his career, recording four assists in 14 games.
BRUINS (D: #47 - Tory Krug)
Krug leads the Bruins defense, and ranks fourth overall on the team, with 26 points (3g-26a)… He also leads the team in points on the power play, recording two goals and nine assists for 11 points… Lately, Krug has points in four of his last five games, posting five points (2g-3a) in that stretch… Against the Flyers, he set up both goals in the first meeting this year.
TODAY AT 50
On January 14, 2006… Peter Forsberg plays his first game against the Colorado Avalanche since joining the Flyers out of free agency… With the Flyers trailing, 3-1, late in regulation, Forsberg set up Mike Knuble for a power play goal and then scored the game-tying goal himself with 1:12 remaining on the clock.
Colorado prevailed in overtime on an Alex Tanguay power play goal. Nevertheless, Forsberg's late-game heroics earned him first-star honors and, more important, a hard-earned point in the standings for the Flyers.
