The Ducks (4-3-0) head to Madison Square Garden to take on the Rangers (6-3-1) in the first of a four-game road trip.
Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. PT and will be broadcast Prime Video and FOXLA+.
After falling to Boston on Friday, Anaheim is looking to bounce back from its two-game losing skid.
“I think just for us, make sure we have good energy,” Frank Vatrano said of what his team can do to turn things around tonight. “I think sticking to our systems, moving our feet, just make it hard on the opposing team. I think that's when we play our best hockey. At the end of the day, we're going to make plays. We're going to make things happen. Just got to do it the right way.”
Tonight is a milestone matchup for Vatrano as he’ll play in his 700th game and he’ll do it against a team he previously spent time with.
“It's unbelievable,” he said. “I never thought I'd ever reach that. It's obviously pretty cool. Playing here in the 700th game, a team I played for and loved playing for, it's a special, special feeling.”
One reinforcement returning for the Ducks tonight is Mikael Granlund, who missed Friday’s game with an upper-body injury.
As a team that lost a handful of veterans this offseason, the Ducks captain provides leadership and a steadying force along with his quality play when on the ice.
“He’s a smart guy, been around, very knowledgeable,” head coach Joel Quenneville said of Granlund. “He quietly goes about his business and leads by example. Says the right things at the right time. Does the right things. He's been through every situation. He's been a captain before, he’s won some championships. He's been a part of a lot of nice situations. He's a seamless fit for him. It's natural for him.”
The Rangers are currently on a two-game skid of their own but enjoy the comfy confines of MSG as the team has won all five home games this season, tied for the longest-active home winning streak in the league.
Alexis Lafrenière leads the team in goals (7) and points (11) while Adam Fox leads the club in assists (9).
