The Ducks acquired two first-round selections (15th and 29th overall) in the 2026 NHL Draft from the St. Louis Blues for center Mason McTavish.

Following the transaction, Anaheim selected forward Nikita Klepov with the 15th overall selection. The Ducks later traded the 29th overall pick and the 117th overall pick (fourth round) to Vegas for the 28th overall pick, with which they selected winger Marcus Nordmark. The Ducks currently own eight selections in the 2026 NHL Draft, including four in the top 50:

  • 1st round – 15th overall (Nikita Klepov)
  • 1st round – 29th overall (Marcus Nordmark)
  • 2nd round – 45th overall
  • 2nd round – 50th overall
  • 3rd round – 82nd overall
  • 5th round – 146th overall
  • 6th round – 178th overall
  • 7th round – 210th overall

McTavish, 23 (1/30/03), recorded 77-104=181 points with 212 PIM in 304 NHL games with Anaheim. He scored 17-24=41 points with 42 PIM in 75 games with Anaheim in 2025-26. The 6-1, 219-pound forward also collected 1-5=6 points with a +1 rating in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games last season.

Selected by Anaheim in the first round (third overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft, McTavish scored 22-30=52 points in 2024-25, setting NHL career highs in points, goals and assists. He recorded 40 points in each of his last four seasons, including 17-26=43 in his first full NHL season in 2022-23 and 19-23=42 in 2023-24.
