The Ducks (4-4-0) keep things in the Empire State as they head to UBS Arena to take on the Islanders (4-3-1) in the second night of a back-to-back.

Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. PT and will be broadcast Prime Video and FOXLA+.

Anaheim dropped its third game in a row, falling to the Rangers, 5-2, on Monday night. The loss snapped the team’s three-game road winning streak to begin the season.

"Disappointing more than anything," head coach Joel Quenneville said. "We didn't have much. When I say that, it's possession of the puck, play recognition, second battles or whatever. They played well, but we didn't really have anything that was dangerous to look like we had any chance of getting back in the game. That was (a) tough one."

The Ducks’ two goals came courtesy of Nick Jensen and A.J. Greer, who both scored their firsts as members of the team. Frank Vatrano earned an assist in his 700th NHL game and tonight will be his 300th with Anaheim.

“We win as a team and lose as a team,” Jensen said. “We just have to learn from this. We're right back at it tomorrow so we just have to have a short memory and let this one go."

Luckily, the team gets to compartmentalize and move on quickly with tonight’s game against the Islanders.

Since the 2026-27 regular season began, New York has alternated wins and losses each game. In their most recent contest, the team beat the Maple Leafs in a 4-1 victory and are 3-1 at home this season.

The Isles defense has given up two goals or fewer in six of their eight games this season to allow the second-fewest goals in the NHL so far.

Bo Horvat leads the team in goals (4) and points (9) while reigning Calder Trophy winner, Matthew Schaefer, has seven assists. As for the Ducks, Leo Carlsson paces the club with nine points and seven assists while Beckett Sennecke is Anaheim’s leading goal-scorer with five on the season.

With Ville Husso starting last night against the Rangers, Lukas Dostal is expected to get the nod tonight against the Islanders.
