Road to the HHOF: Brodeur's first Stanley Cup

During the 1994-1995 season, at 22 years old, Martin Brodeur played in 40 games regular season games and earned 19 wins. He faced 908 shots, saving 819 of them, and recorded three shutouts. He also earned two points on the season, both assists.

When it came to the postseason, Brodeur played in 20 NHL playoff games, winning 16 of them, leading the team to the Stanley Cup Final. It was New Jersey's first-ever appearance in the Stanley Cup Final, and the Devils were up in the series 3-0 against Detroit. At home in New Jersey during game four, the Devils won 5-2, winning the Cup for the first time.
Brodeur's thoughts on winning the Cup for the first time, in front of Devils fans:

"After the disappointment of losing to the Rangers in '94 the previous year, we finally got the ultimate prize - the Stanley Cup - and brought the first championship to New Jersey."
