When asked about the severity of the player's symptoms and what has been reported through the media so far, Dr. Jim Bovard had this to say:

"There will be more meetings between our doctors, the league and the NHLPA to discuss the situation and they are going to figure out when the facilities will be able to re-open and when we will be able to continue with our schedule and complete all 56 games." - GM Jim Benning
Dr. Jim Bovard confirmed that Canucks will need the all clear from the Provincial Health Authority before operations can continue and also took the time to remind people that physical distancing, wearing a mask, careful hand hygiene and staying home when you are sick are still the most important things to do to protect yourself from this virus.
