BUFFALO - Sweden earned a spot in the gold medal game at the World Junior Hockey Championship with a 4-2 win over the United States on Thursday evening.

Lias Andersson, Oskar Steen and Axel Jonsson Fjallby all lit the lamp in a span of 2:08 during the third period en route to beating Bob Motzko's contingent at KeyBank Center. Both Steen and Jonsson Fjallby's goals were scored short-handed.
Elias Pettersson scored the other goal for Sweden, while Kieffer Bellows and Brady Tkachuk found the back of the net for the Americans.
For his part, Canadiens prospect Ryan Poehling was held off the scoresheet.
Team USA will play the Czech Republic in the bronze medal game on Friday afternoon at KeyBank Center.
