Shortly before meeting with the players, interim head coach Dominique Ducharme spoke with reporters via Zoom.
Here are a few highlights from his chat:
Ducharme on the importance of minimizing mistakes in Game 4:
Those are things we can control. They aren't making it easy on us, but we already knew that would be the case. That's a talented team. They make you pay for your mistakes. If we look at the scoring chances in Game 3, it was almost equal. But, we gave them a few scoring chances as a result of mistakes. We didn't manage the puck well and we gave them some gifts. That team will make you pay.

Ducharme on the chances given to Tampa Bay

Ducharme on previously overcoming a 3-0 series deficit with the QMJHL's Halifax Mooseheads in 2012:
You can't look too far ahead. If you do, the mountain seems pretty high. There are steps to follow. The first step is to win at home on Monday night. Those who think we'll just go away don't really know us. We'll fight. That's all we're thinking about right now.
Ducharme on the possibility of making lineup changes for Game 4:
We're looking at the situation every game. We'll do the same thing in the hours and days to come to get ready for Monday.

Ducharme on the Canadiens facing adversity all year long:
There hasn't been anything normal about our season. There hasn't been anything normal about the playoffs, either. Things have happened to us that haven't happened to anybody else. We're facing something different. We'll use the experience we've acquired. We aren't ready to pack it in. We're going to fight. That's what we want to do on Monday night to get the win.
