COLUMBUS, OHIO ---The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Cameron Gaunce from the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Gaunce, 27, has recorded two goals and 10 assists for 12 points with 46 penalty minutes in 36 contests with the Monsters this season. He ranks second on the team in penalty minutes and second among club defensemen in goals (tied), assists and points (tied).

The Sudbury, Ontario native has posted 2-3-5 and 36 penalty minutes in 32 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche since making his NHL debut in 2010-11. He has added 23-136-159, 602 penalty minutes and a +63 plus/minus rating in 504 career AHL games with the Monsters, Portland Pirates and Texas Stars. Originally Colorado's second round selection, 50th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft, Gaunce was signed by Columbus to a two-year, two-way NHL/AHL contract on July 1, 2017.
