The Colorado Avalanche are set to take on the Vegas Golden Knights for the second of a three-game homestand.


LAST TIME OUT

The Avalanche extended their winning streak to five games by besting the Calgary Flames 4-1 Saturday night. Four different Avs players scored - centers Denis Malgin, Nathan MacKinnon and Alex Newhook and forward Mikko Rantanen. Goaltender Alexandar Georgiev turned away 28 of the 29 shots he faced.
The Golden Knights fell to Avalanche and Central division rival, the Dallas Stars, 3-2 in shootout. Forward Michael Amadio and center Jack Eichel both scored for Vegas. Goalie Laurent Brossoit stopped 41 of the 43 shots that came his way.
