An Eden Prairie, Minnesota, native, Leivermann spent last season captaining his hometown Eden Prairie High in the USHS. He recorded 34 points (10 goals, 24 assists) in 21 games in his third campaign with the club. He added four points (one goal, three assists) in three postseason contests and two points (one goal, one assist) in three matches in the Minnesota state tournament.
Leivermann also skated with the Bloomington Thunder of the USHL, registering one goal in eight contests, and on Team Northwest in the USHS, where he managed to put up 16 points (five goals, 11 assists) in 19 games. He was named to the USHS All-USA Hockey Third Team for his efforts.
The 5-foot-10, 194-pound blueliner has a total of 109 points (36 goals, 73 assists) in 112 high school matches, coming in at .97 points-per-game.
Ranked 199th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting, Leivermann is expected to join the Penticton Vees in the British Columbia Hockey League next season. He's committed to the University of Notre Dame, where fellow Avalanche prospect Cam Morrison plays, for the following campaign.
