Semyon Varlamov Winnipeg Jets 2018 November 11

EDMONTON, Alberta--Semyon Varlamov will be between the pipes for the Colorado Avalanche tonight as the club takes on the Edmonton Oilers.

Head coach Jared Bednar did not say how his forward trios will be aligned in the contest, but he noted that Matt Nieto could be back in the lineup at Rogers Place. The forward missed Colorado's last game on Friday at the Winnipeg Jets with a lower-body injury.
"We are still waiting on Nieto, it looks like he is going to be able to play, so we got a decision to make up front," Bednar said after morning skate. "[Mark] Barberio will be out on the backend, and [Marko] Dano will be out up front as well."
If Nieto is not able to play, A.J. Greer is expected to be in. Greer has played one game with the Avs this season and was recalled from the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League on Thursday before the Avalanche began its two-game road trip.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup. The forward combinations and defensive pairings are based on the club's game on Friday in Winnipeg. They are subject to change.
