Semyon Varlamov road white jersey St. Louis Blues 2018 February 8

The Colorado Avalanche will use the same lineup for tonight's game at the St. Louis Blues as it did in Tuesday's victory in Minnesota.
Colorado defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-1 on Tuesday night in St. Paul to stretch its unbeaten streak to eight games (5-0-3) and finish the season series versus its Central Division rival with a 3-0-1 record.
Semyon Varlamov made 33 saves in that contest and will get the start in net for the Avalanche for the second game in a row. It will be the 15th straight contest that he has guarded the pipes for Colorado, but the streak is still well short of his career high for consecutive games played of 22 (all starts) that he set from Jan. 15 to March 8, 2015.

Varlamov is 4-0-3 in his last eight games (seven starts), posting a 2.21 goals-against average and .932 save percentage in that time. Only Marc-Andre Fleury of the Vegas Golden Knights has seen more ice time since Feb. 26 (eight starts).
Spencer Martin will be the backup netminder for Colorado, as Jonathan Bernier and Andrew Hammond are both out with head injuries but are skating and continue to make progress in their recovery.
Defensemen Mark Alt and Anton Lindholm and forward Nail Yakupov will be Colorado's healthy scratches.
Below is the anticipated lineup for Colorado. All line combinations and defensive pairings are subject to change.

Tonight is the fourth meeting of the season between the Avalanche and Blues, and the last of three contests at Scottrade Center. St. Louis won each of the previous three matchups but is 4-7-2 since the clubs last met on Feb. 8.
The Blues will have defenseman Joel Edmundson back in the lineup after he missed 13 contests with a broken forearm. He got hurt in the last game versus Colorado on Feb. 8 and was supposed to miss six weeks. Edmundson came back a week earlier than expected.
