Some good news on the injury front today as Christian Jaros has been cleared to return and will be in the line-up against the Jets this afternoon. Jaros suffered a lower-body injury against the Red Wings last week and, after briefly returning, missed the third period as well as the team's games against the Leafs and Ducks this week.
"I had a bit of a problem with my knee and ankle from when I hit the boards," recalled Jaros after yesterday's skate. "It feels much better now and I've been skating the past few days and it's feeling very good."
"I just tried to move right away so it didn't get too tight there," he continued. "It felt fine but the more I continued to play in the game I started to feel more pain and it was getting a little bit swollen too."
Jaros has appeared in 39 games for the Senators and currently ranks 5th on the team in hits (72) and 6th in blocked shots (55).
